Summerville is out to a strong start in the 2023 basketball playoffs. After rolling over Wando (12-13) in the opening round of the Class AAAAA Girls Basketball playoffs, Summerville (20-5) held off a hard-charging Berkeley (11-13) team in the second round. The Lady Green Wave claimed a 43-30 win over Berkeley Feb. 17 in The Firehouse. 'The girls came together and played as a team to get the buckets we needed,' Summerville coach Calvin Davis said. 'That makes it so much easier.' Summerville jumped out to a 13-4 lead in the opening quarter.
