Ashley Ridge and Summerville are represented on the 2023 South Carolina Baseball Coaches Association Class AAAAA All-State Team. Ashley Ridge pitcher/infielder Chase Stryker, Summerville outfielder/infielder PJ Morlando and Summerville pitcher/infielder Carson Messia are among the 26 players selected for the all-state team. Berkeley's Miller McGuire and West Ashley's Zach Russell are the only other Charleston-area players to receive the honor. Stryker, a senior, was also named the association's 5A Pitcher of the Year and the Region 7 Player of the Year.
